OK I was told that my foal will lose his stripes. That its from his skin being wrinkled in the womb. Is that true? This is the first time I've had a baby come out with these.

This is the colt I just had a month ago that I didnt know if it was Bucky or Pali. Mom is a Bay with a dun stripe and dad is a cremello.

It looks like it just might be the fur wrinkled.. scratch You just never know though. If it's the hair color they could get darker. Those do not look like clasic dun striping though. But, have you seen the horses that come out with color that looks like brindle? Wouldn't that be a hoot.. bounce

He is going to be one of those that changes color and drives you crazy.. scratch Basketball

I had one like that last year. Here's a pic from last spring. I'm pretty sure it went away as he got older. I'll ask his owner next time I talk to him.
Anybody else notice that dun foals seem to have a rougher hair coat than other colors? Or is it just me? I've noticed that over the last few years.
