Earthquake!

I was snoozing quite soundly at 4:37 this morning when I was awakened by what sounded like a train coming through my bedroom. The house was shaking. All the kids came out of their rooms to see what was going on. It was an earthquake...5.4 on the richter scale and lasted about 40 seconds. We had no damage and all the critters were fine, but what a way to wake up!!

GOOD GRIEF... Those things scare the heck out of me. There is no place to go when that happens. Thank God we do not have those in Oregon. And, if we do have one it's not much of one and few and far between..

eeek! That would suck... Glad all was ok, and no one or thing was hurt.

Im so glad i live where I do... May be cold at times... and snow all of a sudden when its the end of april LOL but we dont have hurricanes, earthquakes and very few tornadoes!

Had 2 today. Were up to Number 26 now since the first hard one.

At least so the paper says.

The last I heard (about 5:pm) there had been 19 earth quakes in and around Verdi, Nevada, today, in a 3 hour period!!!!!!! 4.3 has been the biggest. Verdi is near the Calif state line. Right near Reno. I'm 172 miles east of there.

A couple of months ago there was a 6.3 near Elko, Nevada....150 miles east of me.

I bet something BIG is gonna happen!!!!!!!

I just found out that there have been 100+ earthquakes around Reno in the last 3 days!!!!!
