| I like the chestnut the best man does she look like she could be athletic-the others don't have pictures for you to really judge from the last one looks really long and there is something about her I just don't like I get a bad vibe from her pic (don't ask me why lol) I get a feeling she isn't all that. Plus with the Poco in her what is her HERDA status I won't buy a horse that has Poco Bueno in them ANYWHERE without a Herda status anymore not if you want a rider/possible breeder. | |

| Lynn i know what you mean about the 3rd one,i asked for more pictures and they didnt seem right, kinda looked a different horse as she was more of a dun in her winter woolies, but i thought i was imagining it.so im glad you said that. The first one ive asked for more pictures and a video,he going to see if he can get one done.Only problem with her is her HYPP status as she hasnt been tested.I did ask if he could do that, not worth buying a horse unless i know,to much a risk. | |

| Yep, I was going to say on the first one, find out the HYPP status. If they don't find out, then you don't want her - but she's nice. Second one, I"ve seen those pics before somewhere...maybe on the halter horse forum I'm on... can't see enough of her, so can't tell.
Third one is too danged short, and like Lynn said, on the HERDA.

| Ive posted pics of the second one before. I still keep looking at pictures and the videos of Lassys future n gold from double creek farm, theres something about her.The only real hang up i got is she not Haltery enough or is it me. At least with the Chestnut mare she can do both, liver chestnuts sure do look good in the ring to,we dont have that many here. | |

| I dont think for one minute the guy would get a HYPP test done. I have asked but im only allowed to correspond thru equine.com.Got told off by him sending him an email the normal way. He is going thru a divorce and all i guess is thats why i got told off.It has kinda put me off though. As far as im concerned if your trying to sell the horse you go out your way to sell them. Would anyone really buy it without a test done. I wouldnt. | |

| And because of that, it's going to be a little harder to find that perfect horse. Because quite honestly, there is no perfect horse. A horse that can be competitive at halter and ride, that's really asking for two different worlds in one. Your ground level needs to be looking for something that is built nicely. It seems like you're going to be riding this horse a lot, and maybe that's what you should put a little more emphasis on. You can look for a bulky rider, it's possible to find that. But quite honestly, a western pleasure horse is not a halter horse, or viceversa. Even if the classes where you are may be smaller than ours, this is something you have to understand. Your best bet of doing this is to find a horse with an ROM in a riding class so you can show in performance halter. But I just don't see a horse that would be uber competitive at halter also being uber competitive at western pleasure. Yes, it is possible to get one that will be mediocre at both, but mediocre is never going to get you the blue... In a western pleasure horse, you want a neck that ties in a little bit lower than a halter horse neck, you want more lean muscle because it allows them to move better and more fluidly. You want long legs, with long hocks that are not anything NEAR posty. It's just hard to find a halter horse that moves.... Maybe you should look into the performance halter.... Just my two cents. | |

| Well the first horse, would be very hard pressed here. They Dun, no way, and 3rd horse depending on the way it travels, yes, but not in halter. Preformance halter yes. But would have to have its ROM. Opps (I mean the ones you posted from overseas) Not your choices. | |

| The guy is kinda putting me off the Liver Chestnut one.Seems more worried about the email i sent that had so called attachments than answering my questions about the horse. All he has said so far is how would the horse get here. Well i wanted to say Swim duh.But i held myself back and said she would fly after going in quarantine. I still keep going back to that pally mare as she has had experience albiet only in PHBA but she also has the lines i like, plus she has bred a nice foal and at least i know she can do that as she would be broodmare after ive had some fun. | |

| I wonder where the 1.5 halter points came from on the 3rd one as a weanling Since weanlings do not get points.. And the dorsal does not make them a dun if they are not the right color. I would not buy a horse that was not tested for HYPP either.. If the sire and dam are NN then they do not need to test.. Also, I have had to test mine for the last few years before they would register them when I crossed to an NH stud. You can tell the chestnut has been fit for halter then weight pulled off for riding. I would want to see lots of shots of those legs to make sure they were not over loaded. Nice carry down on the hip. The other does not show enough shots of the horse to see what she is made of.. Still, none of them are paly.. And that is what you wanted, right | |

I've bought 2 horses sight unseen, and I know how you feel, both were very good investments, though!!!!
