Goat!!! This is the FIRST goat I've ever owned...I absolutely love her...I've wanted one for a while but could never justify it...my TB filly is fine most of the time but she walks her stall when she isn't getting attention and the cure for that is a GOAT... so goat I went out and got...

She is sooo cute! We have 2 pygmy X Boer, her and her daughter are sooo sweet (mom has horns though, so the sheep don't like her), a norweigian (something-er-rather), and a milk goat.

I dont think boers get horns.... thankfully, but you must be excited to have a new member to the herd that doesnt eat much! Very Happy

I used to have a goat. He was so much fun. Almost like another dog. I keep on hinting about getting one for around here, but Wade says not unless we have a kid who needs one for practising goat tying, and maybe not even then. He had a big one climb up on his truck once and pee on it. Wrecked the paint on the hood.

We have a companion goat too, and she's kind of a pain in the butt, but interesting just the same. Ithink you will find if she is young and turned out only with horses, she won't have too many goat-like characteristics. Ours acts just like a little pesty min horse, and all the horses love her! Even though i know goats have slightly differnt nutritional requirmeents, we just feed it Safechoice and hay and it does fine. We're not breeding it or anything.
