| It was almost up to the freezing point on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day here. It had been really cold, but it was nice to be able to ride on Christmas. I got stirrups and new nippers from Wade and the kids, I had wanted Lost season 3 on DVD, but Wade said it was sold out everywhere he looked, so my mom is picking it up for me on her way out here with the kid's presents. Wade has been looking for a used Dodge 1/2 ton extended cab for me, but anytime he thinks he's found one, it's sold. As for snow, we've got quite a bit already. We were forcasted to get another 6-8 inches, but it never came. | |

| I had a pretty good Christmas. I got several gift certificates to Dover Saddlery then some pretty good cash. I already had an uncashed-check from work so that's another plus. I'm going to Dover soon to buy an English saddle and anything else I need because Slim is soon becoming an English pony. | |

| This year, I thought, was perfect for the boys... Listen to what we did.
As the main big gift, we bought them a gun kit for a black powder Kentucky rifle - something they'd never guess, and would love forever.
So as we went to 4 freaking stores trying to find black powder accessories, and came back and I was fixing to start wrapping, I told Rick, let's wrap everything separate. He coudln't figure out - why.. I'm telling you it was priceless. And I separated the packages, with their names and what # to open first.
So Dillon opens his first, it's a bag of steel wool - the look on his face was priceless... me and Rick were dying laughing. Trent opens his, and it's a bag of rags. Okay, they for sure don't know what's going on, Trent's girlfriend knows what everything is, and we're all cracking up.
Next Dillon opens sandpaper; Trent opens varnish. Okay, at that point, Trent was starting to get irritated... I said one more, and you can see what goes with it.
And for some stupid gosh-danged reason, during all this picture taking of their faces, for some stupid reason, I must have put the camera down when I gave them the gun kit, because I don't have not one picture of that part - Lordy!
This Christmas, I held Rick to a minimum to get the good stuff, not a bunch of stuff for them to use for 2 days and then it being put up - was a great Christmas... course I opened mine early - my handy dandy huge mixer, and boy have I ever used the heck out of that thing. You haven't tasted the right merigne until you've whupped it up in one of those things - criminey! | |

| I think Lynn got the best present of all Shiela, I've wanted one of those mixers since I can remember. I hate cooking, but I LOVE to bake... lol, it's why my jeans are bigger than I'd like them to be. hehe. As for me, I got almost everything I wanted. My parents got me a new billy cook steer tripping collar, which you will have pics of tomorrow, along with spur straps, new boots, a new western shirt, some other clothes, all the new CDs I wanted, and some perfume. Then Tyler got me a pretty 3 stone diamond necklace and new clippers that I love... | |
