Car Accident

Well, today we left for school. No biggie. Same thing we do everyday. I drive. I have my permit for for 4 months now and getting my license in Feb. Anyway, we followed the same exact road we do every morning. We were driving behind a teal Escape. The girl driving it had a purple van in front of them. The girl driving the Escape dead stopped in the middle of the road! I was driving mom's green Suburban and everything was ok, we were going under speedlimit and I wasnt crowding the other car or anything. But the road was wet and when I saw them stop, I had to brake, but we rear ended them and a car behind us rear ended us. We dont know why they just stopped. Anyway, Suburban is totalled and I feel so freakin awful. The only 15 year old in Texas who gets in damn accident. No one was hurt, but I just lost it. I couldnt go to school or anything and Ive been freaking out all morning. Im planning to go to school after lunch if I can get it together. The people at the business next to the road saw it, and said it really wasnt my fault, but I still get a ticket. I know I should be thankful no one was hurt, but Im jus really scared. I doubt Ill have the guts to get behind the wheel anytime soon. Anyway, just thought Id tell everyone.

See, who stays 2-3 car lengths back like your suppose to, I mean this day and age, someone would see that as a opening to pass! Mercy! Like I said, Glad everyone is ok, In KY your not even allowed to drive until your 16 1/2.

I know it's hard when you have an accident, but we all have one at some time or other. At least you weren't hurt. The suburban can be replaced. You can't.

Yes Its was pretty scary. I sucked it up and went to school for the afternoon. I got hugs from people Id never talked to. I also got a lot of things that I hear were rumors. Such as "Megan died", "She got taken to the hospital with deadly injuries" and my personal fave that makes me sound like a psycho "She tried to kill Brittany and Lauren" (the girls driving the car in front). Yea it was pretty bad. The only really clear thing I remember about it was the smell and that it was really strong. But yea, I might get pics up for yall. Im supposed to go to the lot tomorrow to make sure Ive gottten everything out of Green #2 (suburban) before the haul it off to Austin and squish it into a big green metal cube. Yes its depressing. But no one got hurt so thats the main thing. Ill post pics of the car tomorrow, if Im able to get them. Hopefully this is my firsnt and ONLY wreck. Thanks for listening.

Rumors sure spread fast, don't they. If it makes you feel any better, I did this without the help of any other vehicles. And it was on my own driveway. It may not look too bad, but I was good and stuck.

This was last winter, not this one. Just so you don't think we have that much snow up here already.

Did they give the other girl a ticket, who was in front of you? Criminey! And if you've just got your permit, aren't you supposed to be driving with an adult? You're lucky. Just remember, if you're going 50, you need to stay back about 5-6 car lengths, etc.

You'll be fine, thankfully you weren't hurt, and you've learned a lesson. Trent ran off the road a week or so ago, went through some barbed wire fences, and scared the beegeebies out of him!

1. I was driving with an adult. My mom was in the car... Im not stupid.

2. I was only going 35-40. It was under speed limit.

3. No the idiot girl in front of me did not get a ticket.

that sucks and Im sorry for the ticket but really the girl in front doesn't get one.... the person behind you should though for rear ending you too...

Yes I know. If you rear end someone its your fault automatically. The person who rear ended me also got a ticket. That much I knew. Everyone in the wreck had some kind of ties with the our High School. Me and the girls in front go to it. The lady behind me has a daughter in middle school and helps at the high school. Im just so afraid that there is going to be a lot of people mad at me. My parents yelled at me a lot then, but everything is OK now.
