Leases

Okay -
So I'm at a loss...

I've leased horses from people and to people and up till now I've never charged or been charged...

I'm considering leasing a horse out and I'm thinking about charging for it...

Here is the question - How much do I charge? What conditions do I charge it on?

Sorry, I cannot help you there.. I would not lease a horse out or from for $$$. Especially if you want them/or yourself to take care of the animal and pay for all that.. I also only do this with people I know.. And, have a contract that really spells things out. I think this is a good way to get some other lines in your breeding program with out having to buy other mares.

I have two leased out now and one will be paid for soon (she is purchasing the mare) and the other will come back bred next year.
