AQHA SENIOR HORSE DIVISION

Maybe I'm going senile....But didn't the AQHA used to have what they called the "super senior division"?? It was for horses 12 yrs old and up. I would think that it would be nice to bring that back, what with all the talk about "unwanted" horses. The value of senior horses would definately go up.

I do not recall that either. That would be cool. Some shows have the brood mare class.. I like that one..

I remember that they had it going in/around 1991 (the year my daughter had the horse fall on her) I remember thinking how weird it was that they considered a 12yr old horse to be a "senior".

No they don't have that either. PHBA has broodie classes but not AQHA.

That's a shame. Maybe the powers-that-be at the AQHA should do some brain-storming, and make lemonade out of what they consider to be lemons.
