| I know it's been awhile, just wanted to stop in and say hello to you all! Sorry I haven't been around, but I've been really busy with school, clients, and working my own horses. Everyone is doing reallly well horse wise, I don't think they all know what to do now that they're getting worked every day lol. (ALL TEN) I got a new mare last week, her name is Snorty, or actually, Dudes DistinctDesign. She's on all breed and I'll have pictures soon. She's heavily halter bred, but I guess she's a pretty darn good cow horse. She injured a leg not too long ago and needed about two months off, one of which has already passed. I'm just keeping her at home and loving on her, getting her used to stuff. She's supposed to be a pretty decent reiner and has been started on cows, I got her at a steal. I went to a horse show over the weekend, showed in my first competitive riding class in a LONG time, lol. But, my clients horse did really well in all of his Novice Western classes and we ended up being reserve high point champion novice western horse, which I sure didn't expect because this was his first show! I'll have pictures and video of that soon. I also took Scotch and we went to the championship stallion class and took reserve, which I was happy with, but I didn't like the horse that took first, he moved too choppy for me and didn't have a very nice profile. But hey, reserve is still reserve and we beat a lot of other stallions for it lol. It was a fun day though, I enjoyed it. Cherie (REINING CHIK) also took her two horses Abby and Star there, Star took a kick but second and Abby placed fourth. It was a really productive day all around, lol. I let my clients kids keep all the little ribbons and I took home the big reserve champ one that we got with Sky. Twister (the little pally colt) has a new home now. I'm not sure if you remember the littly two year old filly Missy that I sold a friend, but they had to put her down from a really tragic accident, so I just gave them the pally colt.... He's been up for awhile now and there's not much serious interest, so I figured I'd do something that would make someone smile, which is way more important than money to me. Sassy has also found a new home, and I got a kick butt 20ft. gooseneck trailer to haul hay on out of the deal. Nice thing is the trailer is worth waaay more than the horse and IT DOESN'T EAT!!!!!! So right now, all that I really have left to sell is one of my paints, the yearling filly, but that won't be hard to do! Then I myself will be down to five horses and a mini, two other horses on property (one is a boarder, one is my dad's horse which they both get paid for.) This will be so much less time consuming than TEN..... But anyways, everything is going really well, just busy as always, trying to get through these hot as heck days and cool as snow nights.... How is everyone else? | |
