I loved it. Its a little girl and her pony, people forget that when they comment on everything that COULD go wrong. If it was my video, I would have disabled the comments section because of what people were arguing over.

Either way it was too cute.

That pony is absolutely amazing!!!!! She's better trained, and better behaved than most people's dogs!!!!!! Or kids, for that matter. What a precious gem!!!!!!

B & B, who is the nice horse running in your siggy?

People who make comments on the things that can go wrong have not been around horses for long. What I didn't like were the other video's with people who were way to big to be riding it.. No

I loved the look on that LIL cowgirls face when she was riding. This is how it should be. And, yes, that pony is AWESOME.. I want one lol!

I thought the little girl and the pony to be very cute. Yes, there was a possibilty that she could get hurt, but she didn't. Most of us probably rode without helmets and bubble wrap and we're all fine.
I remember playing tag and cowboys and indians on horseback when I was a kid. That has got to be much more dangerous than riding around on a trained trick pony.

As for the horse in your sig B&B, everytime I see him it feels like a lumbering tank is running me down. Although he is pretty.

Well my first thought was, WOW, Just WOW. What a trained pony, And then, I thought who is giving the commands. Then some of it was, Would not have put my child into some of those positions. Well trained yes, but she said she cant even trot yet, but riding a rearing pony scratch scratch hummmm
But I am amazed at the training level here! And willingness of the little girl. PRICELESS!

I remember when my Christine was about 9yrs old....She had a bg, fat POA gelding. His name was Snowball. She used to stand on his butt, and ride standing up....back and forth across the front yard. Cute as all get-out. One day my other daughter, Berny, was out back....screaming her head off for me. I was sure that one of them was hurt.....I couldn't believe my eyes!!!!!! Christine had ridden Snowball up a stack of 6 tons of hay, and was standing triumphantly at the top!!!!!! Snowball looked totally exasperated. Chris told me..."Don't worry Mom....We've done this before." I thought I was going to have a stroke!!!!! Snowball picked his way down the stack like a Grand Canyon mule.

lol funny thing is I know where you found this BJ Smile

I did comment something to this effect

I understand where a lot of the "Sharks" are coming from, they may not present their advice in pretty little gift wrapped parcels, but the advice is still very much applicable. Please for the sake of the kid, go buy her a riding helmet, a pair of ropers, and sit her little butt in a saddle that fits. Please also refrain from using her to make your horse do tricks. I have worked with trick horses, its hard enough for an adult. but for kids?

Merikle, where do you think I got this? Would be fun to know.. scratch Keep in mind I only go to Youtube on a link from some where else....king

That pony is the star.. You can see the lil gal asking if she is giving the commands the right way.. The pony does not really rare up. He is doing the same thing the lipozans do. It's a war stance to gaurd the rider.. Rolling Eyes

Fugly horse of the day Very Happy

I trained trick horses specifically for movies, for well over 3 years with one of the best in the business. These stunts are not for kids IMO, having seen accidents happen by finished trick horses who are well into their twenties and been doing this their whole life. I don't think its safe for the kid to be on a loose horse (bareback with a halter/lead and PROPER helmet is different) , let alone practicing tricks with them. She is *not* quite queing the horse properly, and not really sure what she's asking for (you can see her looking to the person holding the camera for validation and support).

Its just something that goes against every piece of my training, and morals. I have little lesson kids about her age as well, and they are riding a really well broke mare. But although I've known the mare almost her whole life, and put most of her miles on myself, I still give the kiddos the best chance for success... I set them up with a properly fitted riding helmet, shoes with a heel, a saddle (That fits), a bridle, *and* I still lead them around. I also do not ask them to perform manuevers that are above their skill level. Just because my horse can box at a lope, and jump and run barrels... doesn't mean a 3yr old is ready to do all that.

Just my opinion. Smile

Fugly was where I saw it first too Brandi. I don't read the comments there very often anymore as a good portion of the commenters are way too rabid for my liking, but they are right. The kid ought to have had, at the very least, a proper riding helmet. It looked like a bike helmet that she was wearing. I would have preferred to see her using tack. I know I rode around bareback with sometimes just a halter and tied back lead as reins and I jumped my pony over logs and galloped around chasing "indians" (actually my cousins), but I was a few years older and people thought less of safety back then.
With little kids, you need to try your best to keep them safe.

HA HA HA .. I do not look at fugly. I looked at it one time and thought what a waste of brain space.. You will understand this when you get older. When you are older you save your brain space for things that matter and do not litter it with things that don't.....study

Some one posted it on the Paint Horse Lovers forum. I was talked in to gettin on there. The forum just runs down a line and it not easy to follow. It's more like a chat session. And, there is much there about stuff that is of no interest to me. And, there are things that others write that are very intersting and educational for me... Rolling Eyes

lol oh I just thought, Bluejay is reading fugly?? Shocked But no, I do browse it everyday, but really I don't get my panties in a bunch over things so doesn't use up brain space Smile I learned the day my grad photo was featured that it doesnt really matter to me what someone millions of miles away thinks of me anyways. But I do see you're point, for sure, But not to worry I have a good head on my shoulders and if I do have something to say in relation to fugly topics, I like to think I have a lot more finesse to things. You catch more flies with honey than with vinegar right?

I totally agree Denise, We all do stupid things as kid's (I will admit I've done some not so smart things even recently haha), but my parents or family never deliberatley did it to me.... Plus, after doing the stupid things, I know I learnt the hard way many many times... I'd rather my kiddo's or students learn the right way without breaking anything! Laughing

Hell I'd be you're kid anyday LOL imagine all the horseshows LMAO
