An outside mare we bred just foaled... I had to show it off because I just love it haha.

she is the fourth filly of the year for us, and man oh man is that unusual! Can't wait for the other 6 or 7 to foal out yet!

She either looks heavily sooty buckskin or black and white (testing would tell if she is smokey black or not... considering her dam is buckskin and her sire palomino).

I just love her neck! LOL but then again, I did love her mommy when she was here as well...

She's so cute! How did you manage to get all the fillies? I have one and get a stud colt. I wish they would just come out geldings

LOL i have no idea how we got a bunch of fillies? Maybe because I had it set up this year to get geldings done by a proffessor at a college for about 20 bucks a colt.... hahah

Our first year of breeding - 3 foals, 1 filly, 2 colts
second year of breeding - 3 foals, 2 filly, 1 colts
third year of breeding - 4 foals, 1 filly, 3 colts
fourth year of breeding - expected foals 14 or so? - so far 1 colt, 5 fillies

and lol bluejay i know how you feel about late babies, but we do what we can. My new born babies live inside for the first bit of their life regardless of weather basically... but if we have one later in the year, we ensure they are kept inside. This one is out of an outside mare. I have one left to foal and a ton more from outside mares :0)

Is it hot there too? I'm dying here. It's only around 90 degrees here, but it's sunny with no breeze. After the cold spell, we aren't used to the heat again.

Our foals wouldnt have a chance between the heat and flies! affraid
They would have to kept up in the barn all the time. Poor babies. If they were July babies.

Interesting marking around the chestnut. Looks like someone took a marker and traced around it!
Well, you studs head is passed on, on this one isnt it?
