Miss Stella (my father-in-law's baby) died this morning - she had enteritis...
4:00pm she was uncomfortable
They gave her banamine that didn't help...
They live in the STICKS so they had to take her 45 mins away to a vet that couldn't help and then they drove her an additional 2+ hours to an intensive care unit...

Foal was improving at midnight and then crashed at 3am...Surgery or put her down, surgery success rate is 20%...father-in-law put her down... this was a NICE foal (stud fee was $10k :shock - at least he didn't pay that - deals are good but still)

I'll miss my little movie star - she left on Sunday to go live with them but Garrett and I foaled her out here and made sure her momma was bred back before we shipped them home...

She was super sweet and everyone's favorite around here - she gave kisses, was in your pocket something incredible - very very social filly...just all love...

That's terrible. No matter the money that goes into them, it's the love and the care that affects us, doesn't it? Our hearts and thoughts are with you.
