PostSubject: YEA. Gotta win, money and Buckle   September 22nd 2008, 8:29 pm

We just got back from the weanling futurity and won the SSF and got reserve on the open. Won about $1000.00 and a buckle with the pali colt. cheering

I will get a pic posted when I get his show shot.. This was our last year and it was so nice to come in to this one and win and go out a winner.. kitty

We have been going to this show for 9 years. LOVED IT!!! I have friends I meet up with all the way from Vancouver Islands (BC) to AZ. None of them were there and they even had empty barns. affraid pale They used to have to pull out portable stalls.. Just a couple of venders..... SUCKED.. No

This show has a 2yr old western pleasure futurity with a $20,000.00 purse for 1st place. They started that few years ago to draw people in. They seem to have just about shut themselves down. It had to have cost the Washington QHA a huge loss.. study Sad Crying or Very sad Rolling Eyes Really is sad..

Ok, Chuck Bruner was leading.. And Bryan was a putz.. I normally have to send mine out since I cannot be consitent with the training. I was going to have my stall gal work him. But, he had her in his pocket and I did not want that to be the way he started.. I hope she can stop letting him rule so she can keep him going after some time off.. He is a smart little tooter as 7c would say and he can put on the drama... LOL. I would just knock him in the head. affraid Rolling Eyes

My new job may allow me 4 days a week to get out and do it. I like to do my fitting around 6am. The halter horse is really at it's best early in the morning before breakfast.. cheers

Well you should be in Spokane now. I dont think I'm gonna make it. But I wish you the best of Luck!! I will be watching it on the live stream so wave to me lol! . The vet was out on the filly and she has to drop 125-150lbs in 45 days. She is gonna be so skinny it will make me sick. And she's not liking the Jenny Craig thing. But if it helps her legs it will be worth it. He said he might have to do another surgery but doesnt want to talk about that yet. She's gonna be my million dollar horse but I have to do everything I can since I brought her into the world.

Well, I didn't see you did you see me.... lol!
This like everything else was small the breedings did not sell for much and many did not sell at all. I was happy with how we did until I called Lonnie and asked him if he was watching it. He said he was and bidding.. Rolling Eyes He bought the dang breeding to our stud.. GAUD.. Now we can double dip next time as the mare owner and stallion owner.. Shocked I did not want to do that and there were other people bidding on him..

Now I need to findone bang up paint mare to do this with.. No Not getting anywhere near getting out of the horses.... Neutral

I was watching you too. Well you do what you have to do. And you sold your Paint mare at the wrong time. So how did the futurity go? Do you know how much was paid out for the weekend? I will be there for sure next year. By the way you looked pretty hot on the internet lol! I even called and told them whoever was running the camera needs to shut up so we can here the actioneer better.

lol! I still have two paint mares.. lol! I only watched a little of the mare owners filly class. The 1st place filly took just short of $6000.00 and the second was close to $4000.00. How is that for a piece of the pie Arrow Arrow

Ten stallions did not sell. So, if you think you want in you should find out who they are.. Basketball

Thanks for the comliment. I sure like the way Tommy is when I put that lip chain on him and take him out. That is the only time he wears one and that tells him what time it is and what he needs to do for me.. The gal who went with me said he was the only one who just squared right up and did his thing. Not bad for a horse that has not been shown much.
cheers Dancing

My freind took some shots of him outside earlier. I will post them when I get them from her later today. Going to pick up my pali colt and will get the disk with the shots on them. I think we got some really good ones. I had her husband hold him since he looks better then I do on the end of the shank.. lol! cheering Dancing kitty

OK, I hope these are not too big. I just loaded them off the disk I got from my friend. Tommy never does anything naughty when he is with me. He did really strut his stuff when he got home.. lol! We had to stop at the door coming in the barn and be reminded we do not talk or act that way.. lol! Only two reminders on the way past the mares.. No We think he looks pretty good for an aged stallion that has not been worked or fit for about three years now.
