Last night around 10:30pm out the lil booger came.. And, it's wearing PINK....

Everyone said since the mare was acting like a stallion it was a colt for sure.. They even wanted to make a bet. I should have bet them.

She is BS paint and all black except one white pastern, a white spot on both front pasterns and lightning bolt blaze down her face. She is about 40" tall. She has some really long legs. I think her cannon bones are longer then Moms.. I am pretty sure she will be jet black..

These shots came off my cell phone. They do make the blaze look wider then it is.. So, no remarks about my terrible shots.. You asked for them.. I will get her out in the round pen soon and get some good photos of her.. Her is my lil black moose.. She is sweet and kind just like her papa.. I am so pleased with the mind he stamps on his foals. .. I am not sure why her blaze looks that wide It's about half of that. The mare is bred for running. But, she is also a wide load..

I do have a question though - I noticed BJ said she thinks her cannon bones are longer than her Mom's and seemed happy about it....is that the case???

In race horses we want SHORT cannons... do the rest of you folks WANT longer ones?!?

If I remember correctly it is 16inches grown up (mayber 12 but I think 16) would have to look it up. I have one mare I measured that was darn near perfect love her. it was my understanding Secretariat (sp) was perfect that is what you should be trying to achieve. Even in the cutters and reiners we try for that perfect # when going for overall balance.

I have had such terrible weather I have not taken my little leapshin outside for shots. She is one heck of a nice filly. A love child for sure. I just love the nice minds Tommy puts on his foals. I have never had such sweet babies to mess with. Makes you want to bring them in the house and play with them..

Her little butt is hanging out of the foal blankets. I have one I will try on her next week that even has leg straps on it. She does have a cute pink halter and when I can get her outside I will get some shots of her in it.. I have decided to call her Kittly..

We will be waiting for the pictures. By then maybe you'll have another new one to show us.

Maybe I can get her out on my days off. And, G is about ready. I hope this happens on my days off. YEA...
