To a Congress Champion! And top ten World. Can't remember his name to save my life, But all I have to pay is 150.00 collection fee and Fex Ex over night shipping! Oh, he is a pleasure horse, sorrel, flaxen mane and Tail with two hind socks! So, I think I will do this. He has been a yard pet since his show career ended. He was very thin and only stall kept after leaving a trainers. So his life was not very good for the last few years. But he is being promoted now..

Born this evening. His dam was tied while I was mucking out her stall. She pulled back and snapped the snap. She took off into the hayfield and somewhat later, had her foal. Wade & I drove out and brought him to the barn in the box of my truck.

Shortly after he was born

Wade lifting him into my truck. i noticed in this pic how badly Wade needs to go for a haircut. He's starting to develop a mullet

In his stall

She's completely bagged up and waxed. I told her she usually did that about 3 days before foaling, but if you see milk dripping, you'll have a foal within 24 hours. Well, while we were standing there, she started dripping milk. Still no baby this morning and she's not dripping but still bagged and waxed. She needs ...

A red dun colt, out of Freckles and by Pep. Born yesterday. Didn'y post about him till today because Secret had a retained placenta and had to monitor her. Lots of oxytocin shots and some pennicillin later, she dropped the placenta at about 5am. He was born about noon. Still keeping an eye on them, but she's bright eyed and eating and drinking well and he's an active little guy, so not too worried anymore.

OK, not a newborn. I went to a horse sale on Saturday, brought some horses for a neighbor and met a friend from another board there. In came a little palomino pony mare, blind in her left eye. Meat buyer bid $50, I felt sorry for her, so I ended up with her. First off Please do not blast me. I made the choice to breed my H/H mare. I need some advise. Before we bred her she was not showing any symptoms. The people we bought her off of has always had her on meds from the day she was diagnosed with HYPP. She has been on a pill and a half. This mare is five years old. She is fed only oats and alfalfa hay, she gets out about every other day. ...

Their birthdays are:

Duncan, March 3rd

Tim, March 13th

Carrie, April 24th

Missy, June 4th

I plan on taking one mare out of the pasture at a time, leaving the foals with their buddies. Had less stress doing it this way before. They have a creep feeder, plus will be brought in and worked with on a daily basis. Missy won't even be 3 months till September.
This just gets harder and harder, doesn't it.

For some of them, they earn their name. Like last year we had Oscar, as in the grouch from Sesame Street. But others, I just don't know.

Vamp's baby this year was born on April 24th. Finally we decided the other day to call her Carrie because Vamp's reg. name has Carrie in it. The kids figured we needed to call her something other than "Vamp's filly". And the bay pinto just gets called Missy, so I suppose that'll be her name.

My little one is on the mend but in pics has wet bum as i had to bath his back end and legs.

Ive also posted a pic of his mum Zana with her bald face and swollen glands.

Also pics of his half sister(same sire) who was born the night before. Not bad as i saw both foals come into this world, just aswell to as i had to break open the sac on my little fello.

We cant make out if the filly is Red Dun or Dunalino, what you reckon?
